Working with Bold Type on a retainer agreement 

TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

PAYMENT:

  • Payment must be made 1 month in advance via direct debit to the Bold Type Creative Account.

  • You must continuously remain 1 month in advance for the duration of your contract.

  • Failure to comply with payment requirements may result in immediate termination and forfeiture of 1-month advance payment.

TERMINATION:

  • 1 months notice must be given if you choose to terminate your contract;

  • Failure to give the required notice will result in the forfeiture of your 1-month advanced payment

COMMUNICATION:

  • You may request an update of your monthly hourly usage on two (2) other occasions per month at no extra charge. Any additional requests will be deducted from your hourly allocation.

MONTHLY TIME ALLOCATION:

  • It is the client’s responsibility to make sure that their allocated monthly hours are used within the monthly time frame; and

  • Unused hours will be forfeited at the end of the month unless your package states differently.

During this period, the Service Provider agrees to devote up to the agreed hours per month on assignments to be determined locations, as determined by the Service Provider.  Work priority and scheduling will be at the discretion of the Service Provider.  Work will normally occur between the hours of 10am to 6pm on weekdays.

Payment of these services will be to Service Provider and will be made for the following month no later than the 30th day of each month that this agreement is in force. No invoice will be submitted.

Design services in addition to the agreed hours per month will be made available by the Service Provider at the rate of $110.00 per hour and will be billed separately. Any expenses exclusive of normal overhead are not included in this agreement and will be billed separately. 

Examples of such expenses include, but are not limited to:

  • Delivery services;

  • Long-­distance/overseas telephone calls;

  • Travel beyond 50 miles from Service Provider facilities (any additional travel undertaken in this manner will be charged to the Client at $95 per hour consultancy rate PLUS the cents per KM travel procedure in line with the ATO procedures at the time the travel was undertaken; and

  • All materials furnished by the Client will remain the property of the Client and will be returned upon request, or no more than 10 days from the termination of this agreement. 

The results of any and all work performed by the Service Provider for Client, including original creative work, will remain the property of the Client.  The Client may use this material in any way deemed legally and ethically appropriate.

This agreement may be terminated 30 days’ written notice by either Service Provider or Client).  In case of termination, the service provider will make reasonable attempts to complete outstanding work.
